I bought this to make small chocolate squares for a Valentine's Day event I'm attending where I'm giving out free chocolate samples. These are the perfect little bite size for it! This was my practice round before the real deal. You definitely need to use a pan underneath because the whole thing is pretty floppy. I found that piping the chocolate and then gently rapping the tray on the pan works out the air bubbles and spreads the chocolate fairly nicely. I also smoothed the top with an offset frosting spatula. After letting them cool and harden, the squares just popped out cleanly. I'm very happy with the results! I made gummies and they just pushed out. No sticking at all. The gummies in my picture were made with baby food and fruit juice. This mold made them the easiest thing to make ever. Update: I made hard candy in these, and they popped right out. No need to spray with oil. In a slightly unusual use, we use these to make gel-based food cubes for our bearded dragon. However, regardless of what you are making in them, they are great little molds. They're small, mini cube sized sections, and work excellently for my needs. It's easy to pop the cubes out when they've set, and the mold washes up -very- easily. I'm happy with them, and glad that I purchased them.
